Rejoice! Even when you cant.

This has been a rough week, and it’s only Wednesday!

Lots of times in our lives, the difficult overcomes the good. It’s like a weird fog. Things will be going great, and then something difficult happens and BAM! We are thrown into a downward spiral that can destroy your entire day.

Why do we always have to dwell on the bad stuff??
Proverbs 3:5-6New Living Translation (NLT)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.

Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.

I found today’s scripture written in the cover of a book that was gifted to me by a great mentor. It was written, as an encouragement because he knew that I would need it for some of the journeys ahead.

I am thankful that God put these kinds of people in my life to give me reminders to stay the course, and stay focused on who God is.

Are you going through a struggle today?

Is it difficult to hear God’s voice?

Do you wonder if he is really listening?

I have experienced all of the above on a daily basis. Actually, they all define my persona almost every time I get hit with the difficult times in life. I doubt God, instead of clinging to him, and asking his spirit to fill me. I go on the defensive, and begin to blame him for my downfalls.

Listen to what our scripture teaches, its petty simple.
1. “Trust in the lord with all your heart.” That means really trust he is who he said he was, and will do what he promised.

2. “And lean not on your own understanding” We can’t expect our tiny human minds to understand all of the troubles in the world. We are human, weak people that need someone to help us through the stuff we cant deal with.

3. “Seek his will in all you do.” We need to make sure we are doing what he mapped out for us in the scriptures. Focus on doing his will not yours! I guarantee it’s hard, but sooooo worth it in the long run.

4. “He will show you which path to take.” Ask him what to do!! be honest in your prayers “Lord I am lost, please help.” He will step in and guide your steps.

Our lives are a constant struggle, Difficult times will come. But if we refine how we see them, and remember to give God all the glory instead of blaming him for the bad times, the way we view the world will drastically change! And the way people see us will change too!

Others will wonder how you stay cool when things around you are falling apart.

Rejoice. Even when you cant.

What do you think?

Till Next Week,

PJ
